120. Mid-Level Investor, Special Situations Fund

Our client is a multi-billion global special situations fund with long-term locked up capital and lots of dry powder. They have a flat organizational structure and a highly regarded senior team of investors with deep experience in special situations credit and equity. They invest in creative, mainly private markets special situations that generate equity-like returns. They take a flexible approach across the capital structure and will take on troubled credits, joint ventures, PIPEs, and other credit and non-control equity investments. The Investor will work directly for the group head on all execution- related processes and will also start building a network to source and pursue investment ideas independently.

Candidates should have participated in an investment banking or buyside 2-year Analyst program from a well-respected investment banking or top tier investment fund. Additionally, candidates must have 5-7 years of buyside experience focused on more complex, structured, or equity-like investments. We cannot consider long/short or growth equity backgrounds. The role requires hustle and creativity as well as rigorous fundamental underwriting and financial modeling skills. Candidates need strong communication and interpersonal skills/EQ.  The role has potential for significant upside trajectory. Candidates should have a track record of professional success including a strong academic background from a major college or university. Salary will be $250-300,000 base + bonus.
