82. Investment Analyst, Therapeutics Private Investment Team

Our client, a premier healthcare investment fund in Midtown, would like to add an Investment Analyst to their collegial, collaborative, and highly successful team of scientific investors. The fund facilitates the development of pharmaceuticals and therapeutics and has a deep pipeline of potential investments. The Therapeutics Investment team works with physician-scientists, entrepreneurs, and academics to evaluate early stage/pre-clinical pharma development programs and individual products. The analyst will provide market and scientific insights to support investment decisions. The Analyst will work closely with other internal teams to assess product marketability. The Analyst will monitor and highlight key market access, forecasting and health economics to help guide decision making. The strongest candidate has 2-3 years of experience in equity research, private equity, VC or investment banking along with a background in science, medicine, pharmaceuticals or a similar focus. Candidates must have outstanding experience building in-depth business models for early-stage biotech products and developments rather than for pharma companies. The ability to translate model outputs into investment insight is crucial. The role requires problem solving skills and the ability to work in concert with scientists, data specialists, medical professionals, and investment staff. Candidates must be intellectually curious and have the able to listen and communicate effectively. Candidates should understand disease biology. The role requires an undergraduate degree in life sciences or a related field. An advanced science or medical degree is a plus. Salary: $200-250,000+ bonus.
