60. Investment Analyst, Credit Fund

Our client, a well-established NY-based alternatives fund that combines fundamental research with active trading, would like to add an Analyst to their growing structured credit team focused on commodities. The team has a broad mandate to invest in debt, equity, financial and physical commodities. Industries include metals, energy, and environmental markets. This role offers high- visibility with top management and responsibility for modeling and structuring complex transactions. The Analyst will assess the credit, market, and operational risk of each transaction and will participate in all aspects of the transaction including working with counterparties to create new investment structures and solutions. The Analyst will manage internal stakeholders and participate in fund management. The role involves transaction sourcing and building relationships. Candidates should have 1-2 years of credit investing experience. 1-2 years of previous experience in an investment banking program is helpful. Candidates should have strong communications skills and an entrepreneurial approach to work. Backgrounds should include investment banking, energy investment or lending, structured trade & commodity finance, or trading/research.
