VP or Principal, Distressed Private Equity Fund
This is a unique opportunity to join an established and successful fund that targets middle market industrial companies with complex financial or operational issues. The fund uses public credit and equity, loans and direct solicitation to acquire control. The team aligns interests among all relevant parties to transform a company’s viability and performance. The fund would like to add VP or Principal to the growing organization. The VP or Principal will participate in the identification, evaluation and acquisition of middle market industrial companies experiencing distress due to operational or financial issues. The role requires the ability to participate in a variety of strategies for acquisition including public securities or private sources. Once the fund has acquired the company, the VP or Principal will provide hands-on operational and financial support to company management.
Candidates should have experience that includes 1-3 years in an investment banking analyst program plus additional experience in distressed public or distressed private equity investing. Exposure to restructuring or distressed investing is required. Candidates must have outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Candidates must have an interest in hands-on financial and operational work with the portfolio company. An affable personality is a plus. This is a partnership track role for a strong performer.
