Our client, an established multi-billion-dollar global macro fund with offices in NY and Asia and outstanding returns, plans to expand into new strategies. As part of that expansion, they need a VP to join as their #2 Marketing & Business Development team member in NY. The fund encourages open communication and collaboration. The VP will work closely with management and the investing team. The VP will work on all aspects of fundraising and marketing, and will help develop new investment strategies, including digital investing. for the team. The VP will focus mainly on North America-based investors, including consultants, endowments, and family offices as part of a team approach that aggregates credit for fundraising. The VP should be able to operate independently, from introductory meeting through close but know when to bring various internal parties into the process. The VP should be able to put together a marketing plan, organize prospecting and outreach, and be able to expand their existing network to add new relationships. The fund has plans to grow over the next decade and the VP will see the role expand as well. The ideal candidate should have about five years of experience in marketing and investor relations for any strategy, and an interest in learning about new strategies including digital and venture capital fundraising.
