Senior Distressed Analyst, Public Distressed Fund – Updated
Our client, a highly successful and still growing distressed fund in Midtown, would like to add a Senior Distressed Analyst with expertise in putting on risk. The fund invests across the capital structure with a focus on process-driven and non-process public distressed investments. Returns have been and continue to be strong and the team has a collegial culture. The fund would like to add an experienced distressed analyst with 7 or more years of direct distressed public investment experience on the buyside or on a prop-oriented distressed desk.
Candidates must have outstanding modeling skills despite their seniority because all analysts do their own modeling. The Senior Analyst should have significant process-related experience and the ability to run a restructuring process on a semi or fully independent basis. Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to find, size and trade equity-like risk independently. Senior Analysts should be comfortable with the legal elements of a trade and how to apply them. That includes a firm grasp of credit agreements, indentures and other legal documents. Candidates should convey confidence and maturity but be humble enough to recognize their own weak points in the investment process to assure thoughtful risk taking. This is a partnership-track role that provides outstanding compensation for strong performance. Qualified candidates may forward a resume to our website. All inquiries will be treated confidentially.
Please note: You only need to submit your resume once. You will be considered for all open positions. Do not submit your resume to other jobs after submitting once.
