Senior Credit Analyst, Structured Credit/Venture Capital Fund (Dallas) – New
Our client is a highly successful and growing, Dallas-based generalist venture capital firm with extensive experience in fintech, Built-World and crypto/DeFi investments. Founded in 2016, the fund has executed over $300M in credit and equity transactions. They pioneered cross-capital structure investing in venture capital, gaining access to the most promising high-growth technology businesses. The fund would like to hire a highly driven and entrepreneurial Senior Credit Analyst to assist in managing the firm’s existing credit portfolio and drive growth of the credit business. A strong performer who demonstrates ability, drive and dedication will have significant potential for professional advancement. The firm expects to advance the Senior Credit Analyst to a Director level position within the credit group.
The Senior Credit Analyst needs at least 5-7 years of experience in private credit, with a deep understanding of structured finance concepts, including asset backed facilities, real estate financing and related real estate -backed securities. The Senior Analyst must have proven ability to create effective investment committee briefings quickly by analyzing target company operations, relevant industry information and competitive landscape. The role requires intimate knowledge of private credit/structured finance mechanics, with practical experience working with outside counsel to execute transactions. The Senior Analyst must conduct extensive due diligence, gaining an understanding of a business and its industry using all available resources. The Senior Credit Analyst must demonstrate an intense desire to learn quickly, anticipate problems and contribute to the growth of the firm. By leveraging the existing network and actively contributing to the venture community, the Senior Analyst will assist in deal sourcing. The Senior Analyst will drive introductions and effectively communicate the fund’s value to founders to gain access to the most competitive deals. The Senior Credit Analyst will interface between the fund, the company and outside counsel, and assist the CIO in structuring transactions by building models to understand underlying asset characteristics, negotiating with founders, and managing the necessary documentation.
This is an immediate opening and the role will be remote until June of 2021. For the proven candidate, the firm would entertain a fully remote role thereafter.
