PRINCIPAL/MANAGING DIRECTOR, TACTICAL/SPECIAL SITUATIONS CREDIT FUND

Our client, a growing credit platform within a $10 billion+ investment firm in NYC, needs a Senior Investment Professional with at least 10 years of experience in opportunistic and special situations private and secondary credit. The fund has a growing mandate across corporate lending, specialty finance, and real assets. This role requires an investor who can drive all investments from origination through post- closing, including Board Membership. The Senior Investment Professional will source/originate, analyze and execute special situations, non-sponsor, private investments, as well as secondary purchases of debt and equity.

Candidates should have 10+ years of buy side, non-sponsor, private corporate and opportunistic secondary credit investment experience from a fund with a similar strategy or from a fundless sponsor. The role requires in-depth knowledge of bankruptcy/legal issues, and the ability to structure bespoke solutions and relevant documentation. Candidates need a strong reputation and an extensive network of relationships within the investment community including investors, financial sponsors, advisors, legal counsel, and other intermediaries and resources. The role also requires managing and mentoring junior staff. The firm offers a flexible investment approach that takes advantage of an evolving investment landscape.
