Mid-Level Analyst, Special Situations Fund – New

Our client, a multi-billion fund in Midtown NY, would like to add a Mid-Level Analyst to their highly successful and team-oriented Special Opportunities investment team.  The team makes private, credit-edged minority-equity and junior corporate credit investments. They are capital structure agnostic.  Transactions typically involve forced sellers, borrowers without other options, and older funds that need to sell positions. The fund has been growing rapidly and there is white space for the Analyst to grow.  The senior team gives all staff the opportunity to participate in Investment Committee meetings and there is transparency in the portfolio.

The strongest candidates have 5-10 years of post-college experience or the equivalent if the candidate has an advanced degree.  Previous roles should include a banking Analyst program with a specialty in restructuring, leveraged finance or a similar specialty plus at least 3-5 years on the buyside in a private markets capacity, with a special situations, capital solutions or tactical opportunities focus.  This is not an acquisition finance position and candidates who have been financing LBOs would not be qualified. Candidates must have outstanding ability to execute deals, including strong modeling and client communication skills, the ability to work effectively with others and a can-do attitude.  Qualified candidates may forward a resume in Word to our website.  All inquiries will be treated confidentially.

Please note: You only need to submit your resume once. You will be considered for all open positions. Do not submit your resume to other jobs after submitting once.
