Mid-Level Analyst, Distressed Investment Fund
Our client, a multi-billion dollar distressed fund in Midtown, has long term locked up capital and the ability to invest in middle market liquid and for-control distressed opportunities. The fund would like to add a mid-level distressed analyst who can identify investment ideas and develop the investment thesis to conviction. The analyst should be able to spearhead the restructuring of the company and assume a board seat.
The strongest candidates will have 6-8 years of experience with at least 4-5 in distressed and credit investing. Early participation in a reputable 2-year banking program is a plus. Candidates should be able to execute all financial analysis independently although junior support will be available. The role requires expertise in deep dive research, in-depth understanding of the bankruptcy code and the ability to communicate effectively. An affable personality and ability to work as part of a team are important. The role offers highly competitive compensation tied to personal and fund performance.
