An emerging credit opportunity fund with committed capital, focused on non-sponsor middle market direct lending, privately negotiated special situations credit, and opportunistic equity investments, would like to hire an experienced Managing Director and Principal for their rapidly growing team. The MD and Principal will have a broad mandate and significant role in driving originations of lower middle market credit opportunities including cash flow based direct lending, special situation credit, non-sponsor and sponsor-backed transactions, structured preferred equity investments, stressed credit, and value oriented for minority and control private equity. The MD and Principal will maintain a presence on the transaction team, participating in negotiations and other relationship management needs. The Managing Director and the Principal will work directly with the founders.
Candidates should have outstanding origination skills and a broad network for sourcing private debt and equity. The fund has a team-oriented culture and candidates should be comfortable working closely with others. Candidates should have a track record of success originating middle market investments. Candidates may work in the fund’s Stamford, CT office or may be fully remote, joining the team in Stamford as time permits. The roles are carry eligible.
