Long/Short Investment Analysts, Market Neutral Hedge Fund – New

Our client, an established market neutral hedge fund in Midtown, would like to add an Analyst to their team. The fund has an exceptionally stable investor base and outstanding returns, on a pure alpha basis. Nearly all the LPs invested on day one, more than a decade ago. The fund’s partners have a track record of successfully mentoring analysts who join their team. Two of the three partners started with the fund as interns. Analysts are all generalists and the fund allocates mainly to US names and but can invest in global opportunities. The fund’s strategy leans heavily to long short equity but when credit becomes dislocated, they can commit AUM to credit names. They maintain portfolio transparency.

The fund would like to add an Analyst who has 2-5 years of experience in investment banking or public or private equity or credit funds. Candidates should have outstanding analytical skills and a demonstrable interest in investing. The Analyst should be able to communicate effectively and put together brief but well-constructed bullet point memos on investments. Successful Analysts tend to be intellectually curious and humble. Candidates do not need to be able to originate ideas but will not be discouraged from doing so. There is a path to partnership for outstanding performers. Qualified candidates may forward a resume to our website. All inquiries will be treated confidentially.

Please note: You only need to submit your resume once. You will be considered for all open positions. Do not submit your resume to other jobs after submitting once.
