INVESTMENT ANALYST, SPECIAL SITUATIONS & ACTIVIST FUND

Our client, an established special situations fund in Midtown, would like to add an investment professional to their team.  The fund takes an active role in distressed and special situations and activist investments.  The fund’s investors work together as a team to identify and evaluate opportunities, taking positions on bankruptcy committees and company boards.

The strongest candidates participated in an investment banking analyst or similar program and have an additional 1-3 years of experience in a hedge fund, private equity or credit opportunity fund.  The Investment Analyst will work closely with senior staff on equity and credit investments, involving complex catalyst-driven situations, so previous cross-capital structure experience would be helpful.  Although this is a generalist role, some exposure to renewables like solar, would be a plus.  The position requires outstanding modeling, accounting and communication skills and the ability to approach investment issues creatively.  Candidates should be detail-oriented and intellectually curious, with the ability to think strategically about investments.  The best candidates should demonstrate superior intelligence and analytical capability.

Top candidates have a track record of professional and academic success as demonstrated by graduation from a top tier college or university with a strong undergraduate GPA and outstanding professional performance.  The position offers the opportunity to grow within an outstanding team of seasoned investors, in a respectful culture, with little turnover.  Please forward a resume in Word along with undergraduate GPA to our website.  All inquiries will be treated confidentially.

Please note: You only need to submit your resume once. You will be considered for all open positions. Do not submit your resume to other jobs after submitting once.
