Our client, the affiliate of a well-regarded credit fund in NY, would like to add an experienced sales professional to source and shepherd leasing transactions through their investment process while also helping to shape and drive market strategy. The team uses a dedicated leasing fund to invest in a wide range of financing opportunities across industries, equipment types and structures. They work with a variety of intermediaries including banks, captives/vendors, leasing companies, and directly with borrowers to originate transactions or make portfolio purchases. Additionally, they provide capital to leasing companies as rediscount, warehouse, or other structured facilities. Investment sizes range from $5-50 million. The role involves sourcing and doing an early evaluation of new business from existing and new counterparties. This includes reviewing and assessing lease structures, documentation, and price modeling.

The role requires at least ten years of equipment finance sales experience directly originating and executing equipment finance leases and loans. The sales professional needs a track record of new business development across public and private middle market and large corporate clients and financial sponsors, along with mature deal judgment to understand what can work. The originator will negotiate term sheets, structure transaction documents, and maintain ownership of processes with limited direct oversight. An energetic, driven personality with the ability to work well with clients and colleagues will succeed in the role. While the office is in Midtown Manhattan, they do not require relocation.
