Distressed Credit Analyst, Hedge Fund – Updated
This Midtown-based multi- billion dollar fund takes an activist role in distressed investments using both legal and financial due diligence. They are looking for additional analysts for their team. The distressed analyst may come from a variety of backgrounds. The fund will consider candidates who have completed a two year analyst program in a top investment bank or boutique. They will also consider candidates who have an additional 1-5 years of experience in a credit or distressed hedge fund, private equity fund or investment banking Associate program. Regardless of background, candidates must have strong financial modeling and accounting skills. To be successful, the analyst should be detail-oriented and intellectually curious. While an MBA or JD is not necessary, experienced and entry level MBAs and JDs will be considered, as long as they have participated in a two year analyst program or similar role and can demonstrate passion for the distressed sector.
This is a career track position with highly competitive compensation in the short term and equity participation over the longer term. Highly qualified candidates must have a quantifiable track record of success as measured by an SAT of 1400 or better or an ACT score of 30 or better and an undergraduate GPA over 3.5/4.0 from a top college or university.
