Chief Investment Officer/Portfolio Manager, ESG Venture Fund (Washington, DC)

Our client is an emerging Washington, DC-based investment fund that focuses on committing equity to early stage companies in technology, life sciences, biomedical, clean energy and clean tech companies, with a goal of creating long-term viable businesses that promote the greater good and generate profits for its investors.  The fund will work with startup companies through a virtual incubator, creating a plan to develop, launch and manage their business.  The fund’s founders have outstanding professional backgrounds and reputations.

The fund would like to add a CIO/Portfolio Manager to their team. They are looking for someone who has been the lead or #2 investor at a medium sized fund that does early stage investing in technology, life sciences, clean energy and/or cleantech.  The CIO candidate must be adept at identifying the next wave of technologies and originating and building a relationship with the early-stage US-based companies pursuing those technologies.  Even more important is a personal commitment to improving the world through targeted investment.
