Associate / Senior Associate, Multi-Family Office (Los Angeles) – Updated

Our client, a Los Angeles- based multi-family investment and business advisory firm managing approximately $4 billion, would like to add an Associate to their creative team. The fund invests in a variety of strategies including proprietary direct investments in media, entertainment, sports, technology, infotainment and consumer co-investments and LP positions in various funds and platforms. The Associate will be an integral member of the investment team and will be expected to take an active role at all stages of the transaction process. A successful candidate in this role will assist senior investment professionals in evaluating and executing investment opportunities and portfolio management for a variety of complex growth private equity co-investments in media, technology and consumer companies.  The Associate will work on a lean team and over time, will take on increasing responsibility.

The Associate should have 3-5 years of post-college experience, including 1-2 years in an investment banking analyst program and 1-3 years of experience in consulting, growth private equity, private debt or venture capital.  The fund will also consider candidates who received a direct promotion to Associate from the Banking Analyst Program. Candidates must display a combination of exceptional analytical capabilities, interpersonal skills and project/process management capabilities. The role requires a self‐starter with high level of intellectual curiosity and strong financial modeling skills, including the ability to analyze financial statements, capitalization tables, complex transaction and financial structures.  Candidates must be able to put together well-organized and thoughtful analyses of investments.  This is a career track role and the Associate will not be expected to leave after two years for an MBA.  Candidates should have an affable but humble personality and the ability to interact as needed with sophisticated clients and investment partners.  There is a strong preference for candidates already on the West Coast or from the West Coast originally.  Qualified candidates may forward a resume in Word along with undergraduate GPA to our website.  All inquiries will be treated confidentially.
