Our client, a highly successful and growing private equity fund that invests directly in music catalogues, would like to hire an Associate with a minimum of 1-2 years of post-college experience in investment banking, private equity or credit research, for a career track role with their team. The private equity fund invests in the music catalogs of major and independent record labels, music publishers and occasionally, recording artists and songwriters. The team has developed a highly differentiated approach to investing in music catalogues, which generates superior current and long-term returns for their investors, and is uniquely positioned to capitalize on the growth in music streaming globally.  The team’s culture respects work/life balance except where there are true deadlines.  The senior staff encourages a highly professional, but more relaxed atmosphere than generally exists in top-tier private equity and investment banking firms.

The strongest candidates have completed at least one year of an Analyst/Associate program at a major Investment Bank or related industry. The funds will also consider more experienced bankers who have had exposure to the music industry.  Candidates must have outstanding analytical and financial modeling skills with strong attention to detail and an ability to communicate effectively across a flat structure. Over time, responsibilities will include assisting with due diligence, portfolio management, deal negotiations, and investor contact.  A team orientation and an affable personality will be crucial for success.  The role will grow with each new fund and will provide the incumbent with direct exposure to the music business. Interested candidates may forward a resume to our website.  All inquiries will be treated confidentially.

Please note: You only need to submit your resume once. You will be considered for all open positions. Do not submit your resume to other jobs after submitting once.
