ASSOCIATE, ASSET ALLOCATION & QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS, MULTI-FAMILY OFFICE (New York or San Francisco)

Our client, a multi-family office and investment management fund, drives transformation at the intersection of technology and industry. The Investment Strategy Group leads strategic asset allocation and investment selection. Investments span public and private assets, including technology growth equity, private equity, venture capital, co-investments, credit, real assets, special situations, hedge funds, liquid assets, and hedging-oriented strategies. They are looking for an Associate to focus on asset allocation, performance analysis and portfolio strategy. The Associate will design, build, and maintain quantitative models and tools that support investment selection, portfolio construction, and risk management. The Associate will work closely with Portfolio Managers on asset allocation and risk management including VAR, factor analyses, and stress testing. Additional projects will include supporting due diligence of liquid asset, hedge fund and tail hedging opportunities, and participating in special projects related to investment and risk management. The Associate will also participate in looking at new investments and will create analyses for the Investment Committee.

The strongest candidates have 2 – 5 years of relevant professional experience in investment management, investment research, investment banking, or consulting. Candidates should be able to design, build, and maintain models and tools for multi-asset portfolios with robust analytics, databases, and models. Top candidates can put together asset allocation models, including optimization, probability analysis, and sensitivity/scenario analysis. Candidates should understand investment principles, corporate finance, and capital markets. The Associate should have ability to work in Python, C++, and/or Java, and with MATLAB, Tableau and/or SQL. Associates with the ability to draw conclusions from data, work collaboratively with different teams, and share thoughts and opinions effectively will have the opportunity to grow into decision making roles.
