Associate Analyst, Activist Fund

Our NYC- based client has an outstanding track record of returns on its strategy of investing in undervalued middle market public companies.  They pursue a collaborative approach with the portfolio companies to implement improvements and drive alpha. The analyst will also provide diligence on potential merger candidates for the fund’s SPACs.  Investment analysis involves doing deep-dive research to identify undervalued names where operational changes can positively affect stock prices.  The fund has more than $1Billion AUM and continues to add assets.  They would like to find an outstanding Associate-level Analyst for their team.

The strongest candidate has graduated from a top university or college and current experience in a reputable 2-year Analyst Investment Banking or equivalent program.  Some background in healthcare, fintech or “big data/AI” analysis would be a plus but not a requirement.  No MBAs please.  The Analyst should enjoy developing a deep and thorough understanding of a company’s business, financials, and operations, along with the environment in which they operate.  The Analyst will do extensive modeling and financial analysis and needs outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well.  The candidate should be intellectually curious and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently. This is a career track role and the fund has a strict “no jerks” policy.  We encourage women and diversity candidates to apply.  All qualified candidates may forward a resume to our website. Inquiries and resumes will be treated confidentially.

Please note: You only need to submit your resume once. You will be considered for all open positions. Do not submit your resume to other jobs after submitting once.
