Analyst, Distressed Credit Fund (Greenwich Area)
Our client is a rapidly growing, emerging manager in the Greenwich area, with a team of highly regarded senior investment professionals. They would like to add a distressed analyst to work directly with two veteran investors. The fund focuses on a variety of strategies including litigation and process-driven distressed, restructurings, mispriced stressed credits, idiosyncratic situations, and misunderstood performing credit. The fund takes an activist role in their investments. The senior team has extensive experience in mentoring and developing talent.
The strongest candidates have 1-3 years of experience as an investment banking analyst, preferably in restructuring advisory or M&A. Candidates should have an additional 2-4 years, up to six years of combined experience, in private equity, special situations, distressed or a related investment strategy. They will consider a 2019 or 2020 MBA with relevant experience. Candidates should have outstanding modeling and financial analysis skills, excellent critical reading ability, and a keen intellectual curiosity. Candidate must also communicate effectively. The staff’s collegiality is readily apparent, and they would like to find an analyst who will enjoy the work and the team.
