38. Mid-Level Analyst, Special Situations Fund

Our client is a multi-billion special situations fund with long term locked up capital and a highly regarded senior team of investors with decades of experience in special situations credit and equity. They have an open mandate to invest in primary and secondary private and public credit and private equity focused on the US and Western Europe. The Analyst will operate in a flat organizational structure with the ability to originate new ideas as well as invest in ideas from the senior team.

The Analyst must have received training in a well-respected investment banking analyst program and should have 6-12 years of total experience that includes a buyside role with a non-sponsor focused private debt/structured equity group or special situations/hybrid value fund. We cannot consider long/short or growth equity backgrounds. Candidates need rigorous fundamental underwriting skills and excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Candidates should have a track record of professional success, a strong academic background from a major college or university, and deep intellectual curiosity.
