30. Analyst/Jr Associate, Special Situations, Multi-Strategy Credit Fund

Our client, a $40 billion plus alternative asset manager in Midtown, would like to add an Analyst/Jr Associate to its Originations Team. The Associate will work with the executions team to support the head of U.S. Originations. With on-going mentorship, the Associate will grow into a sourcing- related analytical role with a clear path to eventually originating new deals. The role involves screening new transactions and evaluating and structuring direct complex debt and equity investments in private and public, performing, and distressed middle-market companies, as well as structured products. The Associate will work across asset classes, structures, and geographies. With experience, the team member will have the opportunity to attend industry conferences and meet with management teams.

The strongest candidates will come from 2021-2022 investment banking Analyst classes with a preference for leveraged finance, restructuring advisory, private credit, special situations, M&A, and/or private equity. Candidates should have strong financial modeling skills and be able to work on multiple transactions in an entrepreneurial culture. The role requires someone with an affable personality, strong communication skills, a humble demeanor, and a serious interest in learning how to originate investments. The strongest candidate has a high GPA from a top college or university. No MBA’s please. Salary range is $110,000 – $150,000. Qualified candidates may forward a resume to our website.
