Our client, a rapidly growing private debt fund in the CT suburbs of NYC, would like to add a highly experienced Fundraiser to continue their successful capital raising process. The fund has $800 million AUM, focused on non-sponsor middle market direct lending, privately negotiated special situations credit, and opportunistic equity investments. They would like to hire a Fundraiser with experience raising a first-time fund to work closely with a founder. The Fundraiser will complete the fund raising for Fund1 and then focus on building subsequent funds. The Fundraiser will also have oversight on all day-to-day LP needs.
The strongest candidate has raised capital for a first fund and successfully built follow-on funds. The Fundraiser should know the network of institutional allocators who will invest with a first-time fund as well as the institutional and family office allocator market generally. The Fundraiser must understand the private debt market and be able to clearly convey strategy. Additional experience with investor communication is a plus. The Fund Raiser should also think creatively about adjacent investment fund ideas. Compensation for the fundraiser will include $200,000-$250,000 salary, incentive in the fund, performance incentives, and the opportunity for partnership for strong performance. Residence in the NY Metropolitan area is strongly preferred but not required. Qualified candidates may forward a resume to our website. All inquiries will be treated confidentially.
