150. Vice President, Asset Based Lending (New York or Chicago)

Our client is a newly launched private credit investment fund affiliated with an established multibillion dollar alternative investment manager. The platform offers differentiated access to private credit, ABL, and asset-based special situations and they are expanding their investment team in both New York and Chicago. Our client needs an experienced and entrepreneurial Vice President to play a key role in the execution of unique cross-capital structured, asset-based investment opportunities (ABL, term loans, FILO, IP-backed, asset acquisitions etc.) The Vice President will lead the underwriting and execution of complex asset-based and structured credit investments, including diligence, financial modeling, term sheet negotiation, and documentation, and ongoing portfolio management. The role requires an individual with strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and coworkers. The Vice President will work directly with borrowers, intermediaries and corporate/sponsors as well as collaborate with internal teams. Candidates should have 4 -7 years of experience in underwriting and executing special situations/distressed private credit/asset based lending. Our client is particularly interested in candidates with workout and restructuring experience at a major commercial bank or credit manager or transaction experience at a middle-market investment bank or financial advisory. Candidates must demonstrate familiarity with legal documentation and intercreditor dynamics in ABL and structured lending deals. The Vice President should be able to thrive in a fast paced, start-up environment within a larger institutional platform. Salary: $250,000-$275,000.
