11. Investment Analyst, Special Situations Fund

Our client is a multi-billion-dollar, emerging manager in NY, founded by a highly regarded investment team with decades of experience in special situations, distressed and credit. They have an open mandate to invest in primary and secondary public and private credit and equity special situations opportunities with a focus on N. American and European investments. The investment analyst will drive investments with some senior oversight as part of small team with a flat structure.

The strongest candidates have 3-6 years of total experience, with at least one year in a buyside role in private equity, deep dive private credit (non-sponsor backed) or a special situations/hybrid value fund. Long/short equity backgrounds will not receive consideration. Candidates need training from a top firm or fund and should have strong modeling skills and an interest in investing broadly. This is a career-track opportunity with no requirement to return to school for an MBA, but recent MBAs may apply. Candidates should have a track record of professional success, a strong academic background from a major college or university, and deep intellectual curiosity.
